Post 87: Standards have slipped yet further

In the last two meals, I've managed to cook this week's cabbage and leeks -which I fried with my ubiquitous garlic. Served with pie and parmentier potatoes. I'd obviously talk about it if I'd been bothered to make the parmetnier potatoes myself - but I didn't pie and potatoes were from M&S. The steak nad kidney pie, was frankly poor; I'd hope to do better. If I'm ever allowed to use kidney in my cooking that is.



The night before's meal, was probably nicer: Thai Green Curry -


I'd love to report I'd concocted my own Green paste by toasting off exotic spices. But no, it was from here:

It had some foreign writing on! It must be exotic.

With the Acorn squash still loitering, I'm not sure there's much hope for a sudden improvement. Boo.
