Post 65: Reaping the harvest.

The flowers had gone from the potato plants:

There hadn't been much upward growth in a week or two, so I thought they must be ready. And this is my harvest:

This is a fine bunch of fair sized spuds. But from a whole raised bed, I did expect - well rather more, at least two buckets worth. I think maybe I've put too many chitters in and they'd been too much competition between the plants. Maybe the rubbish soil didn't help. Either way, it was a lot of effort for a £2 bucket of tatties.
