Post 66: Blood Lust

Sometimes, vegetables just don't quite cut it. This was a special birthday T and meat was the order of the day. The butcher was under instruction not to be shy with his cow slices, and he did admirably:

I'd let these stew a bit in garlic and olive oil. With salt and pepper (in full effect). I singed either side on the griddle pan and got a nice charry stripe going.

Served with M&S slicey potatoes, english mustard, a dab of mayo and freshly podded peas. Does that count as three veg? Normally I follow meal postings with something only vaguely enthusiastic like 'nice' as a description - but this, this was really nice.
