Post 134: Gammon Pasta Bake

After all the chopping required for Nasi Goreng, I thought I'd go for something with a better number of meals to effort ratio. Especially as there were no Nasi Goreng leftovers. Time to break out the pasta bake. Always a favourite round these parts, and easy to cook enough for spares.

Tonight's recipe - even though it's much the same as any other night's:
- 2 medium onions fried with lots of garlic (5 cloves)and quite a bit of chilli (4)
- 1/2 pound gammon lardons
- 1 1/2 courgettes
- 2 peppers. These were orange - which hasn't come out so good on the photo
- 705gs penne
- Some cheese sauce for thickness and passata for tomatoeyness

The gammon lost some water, so I drained that before I mixed it all together. I was a bit surprised by that, it was from a proper butcher's. Then bake for 20 minutes until the top layer goes cripsy.

It's a bit dull, but it never gets any complaints.
