Post 16: Raised bed building, first dig your hole

I've got about a 6 inch slope where I want to build my raised bed, so I needed to dig it out to create some flat ground. Which should give me half a chance of being able to screw the bits of wood together. Taking out this amount of dirt, took me about an hour's fairly hard effort to do. I did find a quite amazing amount of bricks under there; I'm sure that can't be a good thing.

If I'm honest, I'm not looking forward to having to dig out holes no 2 and 3.
